Our Response to COVID-19 Situation

We understand the rapidly developing coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is creating concern for members, families and the community. The health and safety of our staff and members are our top priority.

We are monitoring the situation and following Department of Health guidelines to minimise risk of infection.  We continue to take direction from state and federal government in response to COVID-19.

At this stage the government has advised that gyms and swimming pools do not need to close as long as they follow social distancing procedures and good hygiene practices.

Our programs and services remain open and safe for community use, however it has been necessary to make some modifications to protect staff and members.

  • We cannot have more than 100 people in a single enclosed area and will undertake regular counting of the number of people in the pool, café/reception/health club and the sports hall.
  • Some machines and equipment in the health club may not be available to maintain a distance of 1.5 metres between people.
  • Some classes may need to be changed or modified, but will continue
    • Boxing classes will now be circuit classes
  • Some classes may be limited depending on the room size
    •  RPM Room will be limited to 11
    • Yoga classes on Mondays & Fridays will be limited to 6
  • PT sessions can be held outside if members prefer.
  • All swimming lessons have been cancelled until further notice. All Swim Club members will be contacted.
  • The spa and sauna will be closed until further notice.
  • Water fountains will not be in use, so please fill your water bottles before your visit.

Additional measures already in place include:

  • More cleaning of equipment and hard surfaces.
  • Increased professional cleaning regime focussing on high traffic areas
  • Patrons and staff are asked not to attend the centre if unwell
  • Council is giving relevant health advice to staff on a regular basis
  • Cough and handwashing signage in place around the centre

Please see NSW Health website or the Australian Government Department of Health for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
